After trying to sell our house in Ross-on-Wye for over a year we decided we had to drop the price by ten thousand pounds. We immediately had an offer from a couple in Hereford and agreed to the sale in October last year. We made an offer on a lovely house with a big garden near Chepstow which was perfect for David’s work and for me and the girls, after a bit of haggling the offer was accepted and everyone agreed moving dates in two months time.
After only ten days the couple from Hereford backed out because their sale had fallen through and we didn’t know what to do because we’d set our hearts on the new house, I couldn’t face more months of trying to sell our house and we really didn’t want to lose our new home.
David’s new boss suggested we try House Express - and I am so glad we did. It was the best decision all round. Although we were initially disappointed with the price (a drop of seven thousand pounds) at least we didn’t have to pay estate agents fees which would have been nearly £2,000 and House Express paid all of our solicitor costs too. The best thing though was that we actually moved house just three and a half weeks after contacting Angela at House Express, That’s quicker than we could ever have imagined.
