Case Study 3 - Mr & Mrs Coolridge, Bristol
|
Mr & Mrs Coolridge have lived in the same house for forty eight years. Mr Coolridge bought the house for just £2,115 in 1959 and finished paying for their home in 1979.
They had borrowed an extra £8,000 in 1970 for a conservatory and new kitchen and bathroom but finished paying that off before Mr Coolridge retired in 1998.
Now they don’t want to move but they do want to enjoy their retirement, so House Express enabled them to do both by paying them Two Hundred and Thirty Thousand Pounds for their house and renting it back to them for as long as they wish to stay there.
Mr & Mrs Coolridge now have a second home in the Algarve. They spend half the year here in England and half in Portugal.
